"Working with you has made it honestly part of my nature to be better equipped. And honestly, to be more gentle, for in my case, more gentle on me. You gave me enduring and lasting change."
"I reflect on my situation, emotional state, and behavior, compare it to my current state, and hardly recognize the person I was back then. Thank you for supporting my journey to recognize my contribution to the dysfunction that plagued the relationship between me and my sons. Your coaching has been invaluable to me as I addressed control issues, the importance of my faith, and my need for self-care."
"Sally is not only knowledgeable, resourceful, and understanding, but she is also genuinely caring, which is uncommon among counselors. During my process with her, she listened attentively and worked me through my situations by breaking them down and providing guidance on freeing myself from the “entanglements” and taking charge of my own life. I have learned a lot from her, and am now paying more attention to and making more effort to free myself from extreme mental stress and improve interactions with others. For those who want to jump-start the change of current struggles, I highly recommend Sally."
"I don’t know what exactly the moment or event was when he decided enough thrashing. I keep my boundaries assuming he could be at the top of a BPD cycle- but there has never been this much self-awareness or peace in him. It’s like a switch flipped. He apologized for his behaviors and thanked everyone for being who they are, and he was so grateful to everyone.
I think his girlfriend was diagnosed with Bipolar and they went through a lot. Their breakup changed him. Perhaps being on the receiving end, he saw himself and what he had done to his family and friends and didn’t want to be that person anymore. He was really lost and I showed up very slowly with boundaries. I think he knew I was no longer putting up with his actions and he realized he was on an island alone.
It took him realizing he would not be tolerated the way he was behaving - and it made him realize he didn’t want to lose us. The tough love and hard boundaries worked. It was the hardest thing I ever did to stop enabling him. I let go and feared losing him. But he came back when he was ready and I stayed safer. Now I am preparing for a not-so-linear path, but at least I see the light."
For ten years, I struggled with addiction, depression, anxiety, and the despair of suicide attempts. My life reached a turning point during a severe health scare that left me vulnerable but open to change. In those moments, my faith deepened, guiding me steadfastly through my darkest hours. The critical realization was clear and life-altering: I had to be okay, even if my daughter wasn't. This wasn't just an epiphany; it became the foundation of my healing journey. Embracing self-care allowed me not only to heal but also to thrive. Today, I enjoy a profoundly improved relationship with my daughter, celebrate years of sobriety, and relish the entrepreneurial freedom that enriches my family life. I believe God has granted me this platform to turn my pain into purpose. I'm here to guide you on a similar journey of transformation. Remember, taking care of yourself is not just beneficial—it's essential. You must be okay first. Let me help you discover how.
